An open letter to the Work and Pensions minister Liz Kendall, signed by 21 organisations across England, including us, says: “22 policy changes . . . will lead to over 400,000 people forced into poverty, disproportionately affecting women/disabled single mothers and children. Yet of these 22 changes, only 11 are being consulted on via the Pathways to Work Green Paper.”
We found out that the government will be starting a Bill on what’s NOT in the Green Paper – changes to the disability payment in Universal Credit and work capability assessment and attacking the Substantial risk to health protection for claimants. Let’s make our voice heard.
Benefit rights for all – abolish No Recourse to Public Funds and the two-child limit!
