The recent conference of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) was sponsored by Capita. Their magazine has also been running adverts for PIP assessors – (an OT with 2 years post qualifying experience can earn £23.5k pa – Capita is able to pay them £34k as PIP assessors)

After the conference, an open letter was sent to the RCOT:

Rebel OTs believe that the PIP assessor role is in breach of RCOTs ethical standards and are working on a further letter.

On July 27th the RCOT will be holding a graduate networking day at its HQ (106 – 114 Borough High Street) from 10:30 – 16:00 for OTs who have graduated in the past 2 years. The event is fully booked.

Survivors and allies from the Mental Wealth Alliance are planning a meet and greet surprise demo for the day with the aim of adding to the pressure on the RCOT to take a stand and to drop the adverts and partnership deal.
