The Global Women’s Strike and WinVisible have gathered proposals from our networks for the public vote run by the Casey Commission, headed by Baroness Louise Casey.
The Commission was set up by the government to make recommendations on how to reform adult social care in England and start a “National Care Service”. They invite people to say what we want and expect in the future. So far, they have had more than 6,000 proposals and over 350,000 votes cast. Most are from family carers and people reliant on care who are angry at how we are treated and exploited, and the crisis in adult social care and palliative care.
