PIP Review: WinVisible’s response to Call for Evidence

Thanks to everyone who contributed to WinVisible’s response to the PIP Reviewcall for evidence

** Please read here and share – feedback is welcome!

We focussed on the issues affecting sick and disabled women/of colour, disabled mothers and other family carers, immigrant and UK-born, our experiences, the problems and what we want.

We’re continuing last year’s campaign against PIP cuts and government plans in the Review to make PIP the single test including for Universal Credit disability payment, which would deny at least half a million people the UC payment.  Some of last year’s press coverage:

PIP cuts newspaper headline next to photo of diverse women marching on the disability benefits protest with WinVisible and Disabled Mothers' Rights Campaign banners.

Guardian newspaper photo of wheelchair users protesting. Headline: Disability benefits -- Proposed cuts will have devastating effect on women

“Proposed cuts will have a ‘devastating’ impact on women”

We’re determined to defend all our benefit rights and demand: welfare not warfare, invest in caring not killing.
